AKP Sports Foundation Hosts Successful Back 2 School (B2S) Festival in Los Angeles
August 5, 2024 | Los Angeles, CA – The AKP Sports Foundation, the nation’s fastest-growing Asian American sports nonprofit, proudly hosted its 2nd annual Back 2 School (B2S) Invitational and Festival on August 3, 2024. The event took place at Tapestry LA Church and Downey High School and welcomed over 100 children and families from the Los Angeles and Orange County area for a day filled with exciting activities and community engagement. The tournament hosted over 300 athletes and attendees.
The B2S Festival, designed to celebrate the start of the new school year, offered a variety of fun and engaging activities for children in grades 1-8. In addition to the activities, free school supplies were distributed, ensuring that each child was equipped with the essentials needed for academic success.
A key highlight of the event was the AAPI basketball tournament, which brought together LA based Asian American churches in a spirit of camaraderie and competition. This year’s tournament was fiercely contested, with Light of Love Mission Church emerging as the champions.

"Our goal is to not only provide an exciting day of activities but also to strengthen bonds within the AAPI church community and support the next generation as they embark on a new academic year."
