Marshall Cho and Jun Seok Yeo to Join 2025 AKP Sports Academy LA as Special Coaches

Nike Hoop Summit Coach and Division I Athlete Headline June 28 Basketball Training Event

LONG BEACH, CA — The AKP Sports Foundation is proud to announce that two esteemed figures in the world of basketball, Coach Marshall Cho and Jun Seok Yeo, will serve as special guest coaches at the 2025 AKP Sports Academy LA, taking place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Salvation Army Long Beach Corps & Community Center.

This one-day, high-impact basketball training and mentorship event is FREE to attend and open to youth athletes from across Southern California.

Coach Marshall Cho brings decades of experience at the high school, collegiate, and international levels. A former assistant coach at the storied DeMatha Catholic High School (Hyattsville, MD) and Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Portland, Coach Cho also served eight seasons as head coach at Lake Oswego High School. Most recently, he has led the World Select Team at the Nike Hoop Summit in 2024 and 2025.

Joining him is Jun Seok Yeo, a rising star and student-athlete currently playing for the Seattle University Men’s Basketball team. Previously at Gonzaga University and Korea University (Seoul, South Korea), Yeo gained international experience playing in the 2018 FIBA U-18 Asian Championship and representing Korea in the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
