AKP Sports Foundation hosts First Lady Yumi Hogan of Maryland
August 20, 2024 | Annapolis, MD – AKP Sports Foundation, the nation’s fastest-growing Asian American sports nonprofit, was honored to have First Lady Yumi Hogan of Maryland, a distinguished member of the Foundation's Advisory Board, attend the highly anticipated match between Crystal Palace FC and Wolves FC at Navy Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland, on July 31, 2024.
First Lady Hogan, accompanied by AKP Sports Foundation CEO John Lee and Executive Director Chris Yin, attended the event as part of her ongoing commitment to support and represent the Foundation. The match, which drew thousands of soccer fans, was a thrilling showcase of international talent, with standout performances from soccer stars Hwang Hee Chan of Wolves FC and Jordan Ayew of Crystal Palace FC.
In addition to the leadership team, around 30 members of the AKP Sports Foundation staff joined the First Lady at the event, reflecting the organization's strong presence and community engagement. Following the match, First Lady Hogan, along with AKP Sports Foundation representatives, had the opportunity to spend time with Hwang Hee Chan and Jordan Ayew, further strengthening the bonds between the Foundation and these world-class athletes.
